美國留學申請之心理學專業
心理學是一門研究人類的心理現象、精神功能和行為的科學，既是一門理論學科，也是一門應用學科。包括基礎心理學與應用心理學兩大領域。美國是現代心理學的發源地，心理學體系發展相對成熟，所以想要進一步深造心理學的小夥伴，美國的大學是首選。
心理學專業在美國是比較熱門的專業，申請難度較高。
GPA：TOP100的學校一般平均3.0+，TOP50的學校則平均GPA3.5+；
語言考試：心理學是一個對語言要求比較高的專業，TOEFL分數最好有100+，而且最好考TSE（英語口語測試）；
GRE：一般要求有310+，申請排名靠前的學校最好是有320+；
面試：心理學的申請常常需要面試，特別是臨床心理學或諮詢心理學的申請者需要做好面試的準備；

背景：最好有心理學和統計學的本科教育背景。學校對有統計、數學、生物、計算機背景的申請者比較感興趣。文科背景，非心理學專業畢業這一類申請人數量最大，然而申請難度也最大，而且對西方心理學研究了解的最少；
其他：一般都要求上過心理學/心理學研究方法/心理統計相關的先修課程，參與研究課題小組，自己進行實驗設計並發表論文。特殊要求，對於基礎心理學的申請，實習經歷的重要性較大。
美國大學的心理學專業申請的方向有：實驗心理學，認知心理學，認知神經科學，生理心理學，心理統計與測量，發展心理學，人格與社會心理學，情緒心理學，比較心理學，臨床心理學，醫學心理學，工業與組織心理學，消費與廣告心理學，人力資源管理、工程心理學、社會心理學、教育心理學等數十個分支。

美國大學開設心理學專業的學校不少，其中斯坦福大學、加州大學伯克利分校、哈佛大學、加州大學洛杉磯分校、密西根大學-安娜堡分校、耶魯大學、伊利諾伊大學厄本那香檳分校、普林斯頓大學、明尼蘇達大學Twin Cities分校、威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校等都是不錯的選擇。
心理學是一個需要長期研究才能夠出結果的專業，因此美國心理學很多專業都不開設研究生課程，直接就是PHD學位。

Application and Deadline：
Currently, the application portal for the 2018-2019 year is not open for submissions; the application opens in mid-September. The application deadline for the 2018-2019 academic year is 11:59 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Applications to the Stanford Psychology PhD Program must be submitted through the Graduate Admissions portal. All transcripts and supporting documents must be submitted and received by the deadline in order for your application to be considered. In addition to the information below, please review the Graduate Admissions website prior to starting your application. The Department of Psychology admits for the Autumn term only; the department does not have rolling admissions.
Requirements：
U.S. Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent
Statement of Purpose (submitted electronically as part of the graduate application). You will be able to specify three Psychology Department faculty members, in order of preference, with whom you would like to work.
Three Letters of Recommendation (submitted electronically). A maximum of six letters will be accepted.
Transcripts
1. Unofficial transcripts from all universities and colleges you have attended for at least one yearmust be uploaded to the graduate application
2. Official transcripts from each university or college must also be sent to the Psychology Department, either via electronic copy to the Admissions Inbox OR2 hard copies to the following address:
